It sounds like you are referring to all of the tax breaks you get while having a home office. I do these all of the time. H&R Block is one of my best sources for new clients, so I try not to criticize them. Give me a call and I will be happy to sit down with you to review your situation. Just make sure you bring in last year’s return.
I am considering having our taxes prepared professionally this year and interested in what your average fee is for simple taxes married couple with income under 70K only few deductions that I know about. I seem to be paying more in for the last couple of years even though we both claim 0 dep. and I continue to take extra out of my pay each year. I feel we may be missing some important tax deductions. Thank you.

Thanks for the comment. People often leave deductions off of their returns each year, unaware. Our fees for the short form start at $59 and goes up from there. We will even review your last year’s return for free. Just give us a call, and we will be glad to schedule an appointment for you.
Last year there was a place on schedule L for claiming real estate taxes paid and this year I don’t see that. Has this been moved to another schedule or has it been eliminated this year? Thank You
The Schedule L rules changed for this year. You do not get to deduct real estate tax unless you itemize.
